The Mulund College of Commerce N.S.S. Unit was established in 1971.
It is functioning as per the guidelines of Mumbai University as a extra-curricular activities. Since its establishment,it has a glorious past.
It has conducted major programmes successfully under the guidance of well-known faculties & enthusiastic students of MCC.

Major Activities:-
(1) Nine Soak Pits as designed by Krishandas Shah.
(2) Medical services were rendered to about 1200 villages at free of cost.
(3) Entertainment programmes were arranged for the villagers.
(4) Construction of roads & preparation of the school playgrounds.
(5) Afternoon debates and discussions for campers.
(6 ) The N.S.S. Unit of our college gave priority to water conservation & management. It has undertaken well-digging programme & constructed two wells at Chariv.
(7 ) An unprecedented drive for collection of Fundswas received from people . Chariv Development Fund is collected for two Projects;
(i) Constructional Projects
(ii) Recreational Projects.
(8) Agricultural & Educational Projects have been undertaken at Ghotighar, near Shahapur,Dist. Thane, Adivasi Ashram School,Ghothighar..
(9) Tree Plantation Project.
(10)Hospital Project
(11)Collection of Funds for Children's Aid Society:
(12)Day Camps for Children's Aid Society
(13)Health Project
(14)Day Camp at Ma-Niketan
(15)Preparation & Nurturing of Saplings in co-operation with Hariyali,Thane.
(16)Medical Camps for villages...eg. Free Eye Check Up Services,Blood Donation Camps,General Health Check Ups Camps & Distribution of Medicine to the poor villagers.
(17)Help provided to Government Authorities , Non Government Authorities & Semi Government Authorieties for Vaccination Programmes..
