BACHELORS DEGREE IN COMMERCE (Bcom) - Degree College


U.G.C. – Vocational Course :
The College admits students for the U.G.C. Vocational courses at B.Com. The subjects are :
(a) Computer Applications (From 2001-2002)
(b) Tax Practice and Procedure (From 2003-2004)

30 students admitted to each of these courses are chosen on the basis of merit. The college conducts an eligibility test and an interview in order to select students.

NOTE : A Certificate Course in Computer Application can be done along with B.Com. Degree for which Mumbai University Certificate will be given. The course contents is as follows :

Paper - I
Computer Fundamentals & Operating System, HTML, XML, Front Page

Paper - II
Principles of Programming Languages, ‘C’ Programming Language & Database Concepts.
Practical and On-Job-Training, & Entrepreneurship Development

There is a structural change in the vocational studies instead of vocational degree the certificates & diplomas are awarded to the students by the University of Mumbai under the U.G.C.
Vocational Course in Computer Application as per the circular No. UG/486 of 2002 dated 11th November 2002.

After completion of the above Certificate Course from 2003-2004 onwards students can opt for Diploma in Computer Application under the Vocational Course in which the Second year papers of Computer Application would have to be learnt from the Academic Year 2004-2005. Subsequently from 2005-2006 Advanced Diploma in Computer Application can be obtained by learning the two papers of T.Y. level shown below.

NOTE: T.Y.B.COM

1. As seats are limited, Computer System at TYB.Com will be offered only to those students who have passed fully at FYB.Com/ SYB.Com. In case seats are available, students with one ATKT will be considered on merit provided they have similar training in Computers.(Proof of training needed).

2. Subject once allotted will not be changed. Any change made for bonafide reasons, will be effective only when the same is notified under the signature of the Principal.
